Astral Festive Chickens

A large-scale industrial rehabilitation project completed at the Astral Festive Chickens facility in Olifantsfontein, Gauteng, involving the refurbishment and replacement of heavily corroded structural steel and roofing systems within a highly aggressive chemical processing environment.

The project included the fabrication and installation of approximately 52.65 tons of new structural steel, refurbishment of 3,461m² of roofing, and the implementation of upgraded high-capacity rainwater drainage systems designed to improve long-term durability, corrosion resistance, and operational performance.

Works were executed under strict safety and quality control procedures within a live operational plant environment, incorporating rope access methodologies, crane-assisted steel erection, and advanced high-build epoxy and phenolic coating systems engineered for severe industrial exposure conditions.
