RFP Lanseria

DRAM Coatings was appointed as specialist coatings subcontractor to SE Steel (steel fabricator & erector) on the RFP contract, with VIVA Projects as the main contractor. Our scope covered both the yard primer application and the full site application, ensuring a consistent, controlled finish from first coat through to final handover.

 

The objective was to deliver a durable protective coating system that supports long-term corrosion resistance, maintains a uniform aesthetic finish, and allows efficient site progress through coordinated touch-ups and final coating after erection.

YARD / WORKSHOP APPLICATION (DRAM COATINGS)
  • Surface preparation including wire brushing
  • 1 coat Zinc Phosphate Primer to a minimum DFT of 40μ
SITE APPLICATION (DRAM COATINGS)
  • Spot priming of nuts & bolts and any damage to shop-primed steel
  • 1 coat Low Sheen Enamel to a minimum DFT of 30μ
GUTTERS
  • Pre-galvanised, with touch-ups to all site welds
SCOPE OF WORK
  • Wire brushing and preparation for yard priming.
  • Controlled yard primer application to specified DFT.
  • Touch-up and spot priming after erection (nuts, bolts, handling damage).
  • Site application of final low sheen enamel coat to specified DFT.
  • Touch-ups to site welds on pre-galvanised gutters.
  • Ongoing quality control to maintain coating continuity and uniform finish.
PROJECT OUTCOME The completed steelwork presents a clean, consistent Battleship Grey finish throughout the structure, with coating continuity maintained from yard through to site. The system provides reliable protection for the steel package while meeting the required dry film thickness targets and overall project quality expectations.
