Roots Butchery


A large-scale industrial roofing and cladding refurbishment project completed at the Roots facility in Wynberg, Gauteng, involving the replacement of deteriorated skylight systems, refurbishment of existing roofing structures, replacement of corroded roof and cladding elements, and installation of bespoke flashings designed for long-term durability and weatherproofing performance.

The project covered approximately 14,198.4m² and was executed to restore structural integrity, improve corrosion resistance, enhance natural lighting efficiency, and extend the operational lifespan of the facility through the implementation of advanced industrial coating systems and upgraded roofing components.

Works included the replacement of existing polycarbonate skylight systems, refurbishment of roof sheeting using high-build epoxy coating systems, installation of new industrial cladding systems, and replacement of severely corroded roof sheets within an operational industrial environment under strict health and safety compliance procedures.
